From experimental sound work with my father to the low fi punky pop of SEXLOVEBUSTERBABY! and the glorious Big Band Swing of Vavavavoom’s Dimestore Jive Revue…
I’ve had the privilege of working with other experimental artists such as Tony Sinden and Michael Paysden for my father’s Expanded Cinema performances, where I would play a range of instruments – saxophone, keyboards and WASP synth!
It was great fun being the drummer in lo-fi punky pop band SEXLOVEBUSTERBABY! I wrote quite a lot of our songs too and designed some of the publicity.
My greatest joy was singing with the world-class professional musicians who made up Vavavavoom’s ‘house’ band. The band grew from its beginnings as a small ‘combo’ into a full-blown swing big band – The Dimestore Jive Revue. Marvellous!
